Wow, an entire year to the day since the last release
announcement!
String Theory is finally here.
String Theory is a two disc
compilation covering as many forms of guitar music as
possible, and also as many continents as possible with a few
new discoveries from Hong Kong and Singapore to name a few.
Over
the past few years a loose community of ambient and
experimental guitarists has been coalescing around the world;
with many players based inMelbourne, but its connections reach
across Australia and
internationally. This album is an attempt to bring
together a diverse group of artists who’s approaches to the
instrument vary in texture, technique and composition. Yet this wide
selection of artists, from the established to the obscure, are
united in their quest to reinvent perhaps the most clichéd of
modern instruments; the electric guitar.

of the Dreamland label for a little while so we decided to take on
their only release so far, which is a split EP with another local
improv group "a-mo" that came out on the local Land & Sea records

LIVE EVENTS
This year, the label has been branching more into hosting live
performances. With the assistance & enthusiasm of Melbourne's bar /
art space "Loop", we have managed to host & co-curate a few shows
featuring the kind of music that this label is dedicated to. In the
